In een van jullie mock-up screenshots zie ik een knop staan "App Store"
Komt die functie er effectief aan?

    Hi Martijn

We're indeed thinking about such a feature.
More details will be revealed this summer.

    Martijn,
As mentioned on the Forkmeetup, the app-store will be created in the future, but we don't have a release-date yet.
Feel free to explain what you expect from the App-store.

Want to know more about the App Store? Future plans of Fork CMS, Dutch version

My opinion about the App-store App Store; where you can download for free (or buy):
    - themes - modules and find:
    - links to existing apps (iPhone, Android) that works with fork cms its API

It would be nice that modules (which aren't ready yet for release) are also in the App-store, but under a separate category. Every module has to have a git repo so everybody can help testing and upgrading them before releasing them.

I understand that there will be some kind of installer in future updates of Fork-CMS because on the Golden Gate page we see this message:

"The themes installer feature is not yet available. We're working hard on it, stay tuned!"

I further understand, from comments and links on this forum, that there will be some kind of App Store, and perhaps these two concepts are linked.

However, in the meantime, I don't understand why you couldn't offer Golden Gate, 1950 and Metropolitan for download on your downloads page, with simple instructions about where to upload it to on an installation. (Perhaps they are available somewhere, but I can't find reference to them anywhere.)

I am eager to get into and test Fork-CMS to see if it is suitable for some projects I have. I have started to customize my own theme through trial and error. I have duplicated Triton into a new folder and renamed it, and it does indeed show up in the backend Theme manager. I found I had to recreate Templates for it, but so far so good, I am getting somewhere...

Still, it would be really nice to be able to start off with the three or four templates shown so we can get more of an idea of how different themes have been coded, adapt them, and get going more quickly.

Could you possibly make the other three themes available for download somewhere, so we can FTP them to our themes folder?

    Thanks!

Ripley, I don't know if the theme is production-ready, but have a look at: https://github.com/yoniweb/forkcms-Golden-Gate

Martijn, just a small update. In the 3.0.0-branch we made a little step towards the app-store. It will be possible to install external modules.
