using a db prefix

Maybe this comes in handy when people who only have 1 database in their hostingplans want to use several fork installations.

    I don't agree. People should get decent hosting. Decent hosting should be a minimum requirement for each Fork installation.

    I'll agree with Tijs.

    Adding in db prefixes would make development yet a bit more complex, as all queries (including external modules over which we have no own control) would need some arbitrary code for the prefix in there.

    In addition:

    • DB prefixes are mostly a thing of the past; nowadays only very few hosting plans do not support multiple databases. Such low-end plans are likely not to meet our current requirements anyway.
    • Fork CMS can not be installed in subdirectories, so multiple Fork CMS installs will require multiple domains; if that's available, it's even more likely that multiple DBs are available
