Anyone have a module to integrate the facebook comment system instead of the current comment system?

It's kinda a requirement for a client of mine.

You can overrule the template for blog and include the fbml tag.

Dan, as Frederik mentioned, you can overrule the template and include the FBML-tag. This can be done by following the following steps:

First you need to configure a Facebook-application, which will load the needed javascript.

    • Create a Facebook-application. Which can be done at: https://developers.facebook.com/apps, remember the App ID and the App Secret
    • Open the settings tab of your Fork install
    • Add your profile id into the Admin ids in the Facebook-section
    • Set the application id and app secret in the Facebook-section

Next you have to alter the detail-view of the blogpost and include the correct FBML-tags.

    • Copy the template for blog detail into your theme (default_www/frontend/modules/blog/layout/templates/detail.tpl to default_www/frontend/themes/<theme>/modules/blog/layout/detail.tpl)
    • Edit the template in your theme-folder
    • Search for {option:comments}, delete this section (the end is marked with: {/option:comments})
    • Search for {option:item.allow_comments}, delete this section too, but leave the options
    • Place the fb-tags <fb:comments href="{$SITE_URL}{$item.full_url}" num_posts="20" width="500"></fb:comments> inside this option

    Hope this helps.
