Adding frontend content

I've made a module to allow teams to reservate for a tournament. (sports)
The backend is all fine, and was fun to work with!

Now, how can I generate a meta_id and fill in the meta table fields when they registrate on the frontend?
Is there already a way to insert content from the frontend (by users) or do I need to migrate the meta class from the backend to the frontend?

    Can't you use

    $this->meta = new FrontendMeta()

    I don't know if it works but that's the way it works in the backend.

    @John: that's the problem. I would like to use it that way but there is no FrontendMeta.

    I will have a look if I can convert the BackendMeta to a FrontendMeta.

    for what kind of thing do you need this? Normally meta is created through the backend
