Hi,

I'm currently trying to install version 3.4.1 (same issue happens with newer version) but when I try to reach the install folder I got the following error message on Chrome: This webpage has a redirect loop

On Firefox:
The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

My client have a iPage server.

Sorry for my poor english.

Thanks,
Phil

I think no one here knows what an 'iPage' server is. Use Apache or Lighttpd.

    Hi Phil,

Are you sure the .htaccess file is loaded correctly?
Out of curiosity, why using an older Fork CMS version?

    Hi Dieter,

The htaccess file is correctly loaded.

I tried the current version of Fork CMS but since it wasn't working I tried with the latest version I used many times before.

Anyway, it's too late to reply I had to use another CMS.

    Thanks,
    Phil

Same problem here. I downloaded ForkCMS 3.6.5, configured Nginx based on the http://www.fork-cms.com/community/documentation/detail/installation/webservers, god redirect loop. So I tried to upload it to a webhosting server with Aaache, but again, redirect loop. It's not possible to install this cms.

Thanks Alexey, but I just figured out that the problem was not in rewrite rules. I do have disabled cookies by default in my browser so Fork was just redirecting me from install/index.php?step=1 to install/index.php?step=2 and back to install/index.php?step=1.... With cookies, everything works fine.

    same here, redirect...

I have upload files and folders under

    http://localhost:8888/forkcms/

when I visit http://localhost:8888/forkcms then I am redirect to
    http://localhost:8888/install

I am trying go to http://localhost:8888/forkcms/install
    but also redirect to http://localhost:8888/install

I only edit htaccess adding RewriteBase /forkcms/ because I am into a subdirectory
